Day Tour: South West

About this service:

Mainly following alongside the coast, a tour of the south west can include the following places: Câmara de Lobos, picturesque fishing village near to Funchal, visited and painted by Sir Winston Churchill. Cabo Girão, stunning views from this high sea-cliff and the glass 'Skywalk'. Ribeira Brava, a lively town with many cafes and small shops. Ponta do Sol, the sunniest spot on the island, excellent cafes and restaurants. Madalena do Mar - don't miss the walk through the banana plantation. Prazeres - Interesting place to stop in the countryside, a good cafe and a pleasant levada walk. Jardim do Mar - a very pretty coastal village with most streets only for pedestrians. Paul do Mar - the next door village to Jardim do Mar and a spectacular viewpoint above it. Ponta do Pargo - the furthest part of the south west with a lighthouse and work in progress for a new golf course. We can hopefully see all or as many of the above places as we can, depending on how you wish to spend your day. If you'd like to include a short walk on a levada, then there are places to take you along the way and suitable for every level. There's also the opportunity to walk through the lush, peaceful banana plantations at Madalena do Mar and of course, I can recommended good places to stop for coffee or lunch. It's a very relaxed day out with many beautiful viewpoints. It will be my pleasure to show you the south west of the island. NOTE: Online bookings for day tours have an automatic start time of 9am, but please know this can be flexible. Contact me once you have made your booking if you wish to start at a different time. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations or re-scheduled bookings will be accepted only up to 48 hours before the start of the original booking. All prices are based on your collection address being in and around Funchal. If you are based outside of Funchal, please note that there will be a surcharge to cover the extra travel time and this will vary depending on distance.
