Day Tour: East

About this service:

Here are some of the places we can include as part of an Eastern tour, but as always, the tours don't need to follow a strict itinerary. Stay as long as you wish in one place and we'll make up time for others. We'll allow for the weather and any breaks for coffee or lunch along the way... you won't feel rushed, but you will get to enjoy some beautiful scenery without having to worry about directions and where to park! It will be my pleasure to show you the east of the island. ​ Pico do Arieiro, one of the highest peaks above the clouds... don't worry, we get there by car, you don't have to walk to the top! Ribeiro Frio, with trout farms and the short Balcões levada walk, if you wish. Faial, fantastic views of the coastline from above and also the glass walkways at the Guindaste viewpoint. Santana, famous for its traditional A-framed, thatched houses.  Porto da Cruz, a pretty coastal village with restaurants by the sea and a rum factory to visit if you wish. Ponta de São Lourenço, the tip of the island. There's a good walk here, but it takes quite a while to do it and has very steep steps to climb in places, so perhaps try that another day if you'd like to do that walk. Machico, with sandy beach and excellent fish restaurants. Santa Cruz, pretty small town near the airport. If you book a tour on the last day of your trip after checking out, this may well be the last stop before taking you back for your flight home! NOTE: Online bookings for day tours have an automatic start time of 9am, but please know this can be flexible. Contact me once you have made your booking if you wish to start at a different time. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations or re-scheduled bookings will be accepted only up to 48 hours before the start of the original booking. All prices are based on your collection address being in and around Funchal. If you are based outside of Funchal, please note that there will be a surcharge to cover the extra travel time and this will vary depending on distance.
