A peaceful spot by the ocean...

There is a cable car in Achadas da Cruz that takes you down by the sea, where you can walk along a very even path along the coast. As you walk, you can look at the few small huts/camping houses and plots of land where vegetables are grown. The cable car looks very steep from the top, but when you're inside it moves very slowly and steadily. It costs only 3 euros for a return journey. It's a beautiful spot and worth a trip down if you're in the Porto Moniz area.
